Some of our services include: Re-coning & re-foaming speakers, diaphragms & crossovers, speaker tears & pushed-in tweeters, speaker distortion & buzzing, speaker rattles, water damage, and burnt coils.

In some instances, speakers may require more than just the replacement of surround material and need a full re-cone. Permanent magnets may also lose alignment. Tweeters and crossovers may also require testing and restoration.

Re-coning Service

If the cone, voice-coil, or spider are damaged the speaker may require replacement of all parts, excluding the magnet and frame/basket. This is known as a re-cone.

If the original parts are available, we can faithfully re-construct your speaker. In some cases, repair parts are not available, but compatible replacement parts are.

Re-foaming Service

A common problem with loudspeakers is deterioration of the foam surrounds on woofers. This can happen after a relatively short period depending on climate.

Using speakers with damaged or missing edges can deform the voice coil and destroy the speaker completely. If only one driver appears damaged, the others are likely affected too.

Tweeter Service

If your speakers sound dull, muffled, or lacking clarity, your high-frequency tweeters may need attention. Some tweeters can be repaired by replacing their internal diaphragm.

High-frequency diaphragms should be replaced by an experienced technician and crossover inspection is mandatory to ensure the damage has not also affected the crossover network.
